As part of National First Gen College Celebration week UI TRIO programs in partnership with Kirkwood TRIO Programs are hosting a Money Mindfulness event. This FREE event will feature a keynote speaker, breakout sessions, mixers, lunch, a money mindfulness workbook to keep, and a scholarship giveaway for students. Do you like trivia categories such as Pop Culture, "Name that Song", World History, and more? Come on out with your friends, or individually, to be split into groups for a Trivia Night! Adapted from CAB's Grocery Bingo, prize baskets will be given out for each of the six categories ranging from savory to sweet. Please make sure you arrive a little before 6pm - so we can start right away; the event may end sooner than 7:30pm depending on how fast folks can answer questions!

From November 6 - 10, the Psychological and Brain Sciences (PBS) Department will showcase profiles of PBS students, staff, and faculty on the electronic boards outside the department's main office, G60 PBSB. All are invited to stop by!

Thousands of University of Iowa faculty and staff identified as a first-generation college student. If this is you, we encourage you to communicate this to your students! Download our "Proud to be 1stGen@Iowa" emblem and add it to your syllabus, print and hang it in your workspace, use it online...the possibilities are endless!
