I'm originally from Porto Alegre, Brazil and transferred to Iowa to finish my degree in Psychology. Throughout my time in undergrad I worked for the Office of Admissions as well as Orientation helping new and prospective students navigate their college journey as well as their time at Iowa. Soon after I realized I had a passion for higher education which has led me to my current role in helping students find a program that best fits them as they continue their education. I may not be first generation but I do know what it is like to enter a new environment where you do not know anyone, where the culture is very different and it just seems like everyone around you knows something you don't. I try my best to make sure I meet students where they are at and to ensure they either know or get connected to campus resources. You can ask me about anything, collecting knowledge is something I love and well as consuming media (books, movies, reality tv shows, documentaries you name it!). Outside of that you can catch me attending Iowa City community events while I chase my toddler, my family loves getting connected to the community through events sponsored by the city! If you don't want to attend an event alone you can count on me!
