I was a first-gen student from a rural farming community in eastern Iowa. I am particularly passionate about money matters (financial aid and how to use it wisely) and feelings of belonging on campus in general, as these were areas I struggled with in college. I love to travel and love helping students, which is what brought me to the world of student affairs and international education. In my free time I like to hang out with my husband and our dogs, go for walks, do house projects, read, and of course travel!
