Samantha Gray (she/her) is an Academic Advisor and Instructor of Direct Admit Seminar in the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa. Samantha is originally from Tampa, FL and recently relocated to Iowa in May 2023 after graduating with her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in College Student Affairs from the University of South Florida. Samantha’s other educational history includes a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, minor in Diversity and Social Inequality, and Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from the University of Central Florida. Samantha is passionate about creating access in higher education for historically underrepresented and marginalized groups, specifically LGBTQIA2S+, neurodivergent, and first-generation college students. While Samantha is not a first-generation college student, she understands feeling lost in a new place and the overwhelming nature of finding support resources. She hopes to be a resource for students looking for support and belonging on campus. In her free time, Samantha enjoys spending time with her partner and engaging with content from the Marvel and Doctor Who franchises.
