I am Brigit E. Ray, MD, MME. I am a Quad City native and graduated from Davenport Central High School in 2003. I graduated from Augustana College in 2007 with majors in Biology and Pre-Medicine. I attended the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, IA and never left! I completed my residency in Family Medicine at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 2014 followed by my Master's in Medical Education from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in 2016. I am currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Family Medicine and the Program Director of the University of Iowa Family Medicine Residency Program. I see patients clinically in the ambulatory setting and previously including inpatient medicine in my practice. Both my husband and I were first generation medical students/physicians within our families. I am passionate about undergraduate and graduate medical education and mentoring students to seek out careers medicine, particularly family medicine! My hobbies include cheering on the Hawkeyes and hiking (particularly in the mountains and National Parks).
