Louise Pinkerton
I prepare graduate students to be speech-language pathologists (SLPs) by helping them work with clients and teaching about different treatment methods. The graduate students and I do talks on campus and in the community about vocal health and different ways we can use our voices. Before I was an SLP, I studied, performed, and taught vocal music in a private student and at a few colleges. I know a lot about changing paths and plans since there were many complications to my degree and career plans. As a private voice teacher, my students included people who were were first gen college students, Native American, had a disability, and were otherwise on their own path. I like to read science fiction and some paranormal fiction when I have time. My other hobby is re-learning how to crochet!
