Louise Pinkerton

Clinical Assistant Professor, Communication Sciences and Disorders
Biography

I’m a clinical assistant professor in Communication Sciences and Disorders. My main job is to teach graduate students how to be speech-language pathologists. We treat clients who are having trouble with their voice, talking, or swallowing at an on-campus clinic.  My students also do talks about vocal health for the community.

Before I was a speech-language pathologist, I was a singer and taught vocal music at several universities.  I know a lot about changing paths and plans since there were many complications to my studies and career plans. I can help you consider different options for following a career path and your passion.

I like to read science fiction when I have time, and my other hobby is re-learning how to crochet!
