Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics
Biography

As a former first-generation student, I empathize with the challenges of navigating higher education without guidance. Grateful for the mentors who supported me throughout my academic and professional journey, I've decided to pay it forward by becoming a mentor for students facing similar challenges. With a background that includes earning a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Sharif University of Technology in Iran, followed by a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Rutgers University, and post-doctoral experiences at Princeton University, I now serve as an Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa. My success is attributed in no small part to the guidance I received from mentors. I firmly believe that having a mentor can significantly impact a student's journey to success. I am committed to being a part of the support system that empowers students to thrive in their academic pursuits.
