Biography

Kalindi Garvin serves as the Director of Engineering Career Services at the University of Iowa, where she brings her passion for supporting students as they prepare to enter the workforce. With years of experience in corporate communications, change management, and career development, Kalindi focuses on helping engineering students navigate their career paths and excel in competitive industries. She enjoys creating innovative programs such as career treks, employer connections, and workshops aimed at equipping students with the tools to succeed. Kalindi’s professional journey began with corporate communications and change management roles at Collins Aerospace, followed by a move into career services at Mount Mercy University, where she also taught as an adjunct professor. Her diverse experiences have given her a unique perspective on career transitions, workforce readiness, and the importance of strategic communication. Outside of work, Kalindi thrives on adventure and creativity. She’s a mom of four, with two grown sons living in Colorado, and loves traveling with her family. She enjoys thrifting, writing romance mysteries, and recently completed the 100-day Wool& Dress Challenge. A lover of theater, symphonies, and Shakespeare, Kalindi finds inspiration both in the arts and in everyday life.
