Autumn Williams

Test Development Associate, Iowa Testing Programs
Biography

I develop reading assessments for Iowa Testing Programs within the College of Education. My work on the reading team for the ISASP involves collaborating with educators from around the state of Iowa, contracting valuable assessment materials from talented writers, and seeking/incorporating feedback from stakeholders at every level of the test development process. Before joining ITP, I worked with the Upward Bound program on campus during several summers and one academic year. From my work with Upward Bound and my personal experiences navigating the University of Iowa as a first-generation college student more than ten years ago, I have gained a good deal of insight into the application processes for financial aid and other scholarly opportunities. In addition to my work for ITP, I also teach an online adult ESL class through Kirkwood Community College. When I am not working, I enjoy spending my time with my “little” from Big Brothers Big Sisters. Some of our favorite places are the campus rec center and the Iowa City Public Library. If you have questions about teaching, volunteering, applying for jobs/scholarships, or juggling two jobs while pursuing a higher education, I’d be happy to connect with you.
