I serve as the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education and Educator Preparation, so I get to oversee our teacher education, as well as non-licensure undergraduate programs in education here at the University of Iowa.

I enjoy helping students consider different career opportunities in the educational and helping fields, as well as connecting students to other resources in the College of Education.

I was high school teacher and coach for fourteen years and was a student-athlete when I was in college.  I enjoy watching attending sporting events and watching sports on TV, especially when my kids are playing.
