John joined the Hawkeye family in January 2014. He currently serves as the Assistant Athletics Director - Academics, where he oversees the tutoring and academic support services provided to University of Iowa student-athletes. Additionally, he is the Academic Coordinator for Men's and Women’s Basketball and shares advising responsibilities for the football program. John has spent 15 years working on a university campus. He is passionate about helping students navigate life (both present and future), with a focus on assisting with discovering major/career interest, problem solving, crisis management or developing strong academic skill-sets.

FUN FACTS:

Family: Wife (Maria), sons Leo and Isaiah and an English Bulldog named Isabel. 
Hobbies: playing pool, card games, traveling and fishing!!
Favorite Sports teams: Chicago Bears, Blackhawks and Cubbies!
Plans for retirement: live abroad, preferably Italy, possibly somewhere in Latin America
