Andy O'Neill

Coordinator, Academic Support & Retention
Biography

Hello! I am Andy O'Neill, and I serve as a Coordinator in Academic Support & Retention. I specifically help coordinate the Supplemental Instruction (SI) and Peer Led Undergraduate Study (PLUS) programs along with overseeing our Academic Success Workshops. I graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in psychology and informatics. I am currently working towards my M.Ed. in Higher Education from Penn State World Campus.

I am passionate about student success and support. While I was in undergrad, I had the opportunity to work with several different types of students. Those experiences taught me much just how much I enjoy supporting students and sharing resources. I want to help you all set your goals and help you towards achieving those goals!

Although I am not a first-generation student myself, I have a lot of friends, colleagues, and other students who identify as first-gen, and I hope to continue supporting you all. Some of my favorite resources on campus include SI, the Math Tutorial Lab, the Pomerantz Career Center, Student Health, Student Wellness, University Counseling Services, and Center for Inclusive Academic Excellence (CIAE).
