Hello! I myself am a first-generation college student and have navigated both undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Iowa! For me, being first-generation meant learning the unwritten rules and norms of college life and professionalism. I've earned my MA in higher education & student affairs and am particularly interested in both understanding how higher education policies impact students and supporting students in overcoming adversities during their college journeys so that they may still succeed.
