Hello, after having a confusing start to my own career, I am very willing to help you plan a lot better than I did! My background and expertise are career development. I help many students, especially those interested in counseling, psychology, social work, and other helping professions with academic and career plans. I also help students with unique or highly specialized career goals and students who want to "dig themselves out of the hole" of poor academic decisions (like me!). I am a graduate of the University of Iowa and have worked here for many years. I moved to Iowa City from rural South Dakota, and I was lost in the "big city" of Iowa City. Sometimes I still get that feeling. As a student, I did not have a network or a mentor. As a faculty, I now know how important both are to career success and happiness.
