Biography
I serve as a Circulation and User Services Librarian at the University of Iowa’s Main Library. As a first‑generation student who followed a nontraditional path to my degree, I understand how challenging it can feel to navigate college for the first time. In my role, I help students make the library a welcoming, useful part of their academic experience—connecting them to study spaces, research tools, technology, and support that can make college feel more manageable.
I’m here to support students who are finding their way through campus life—whether you’re trying to navigate library resources, get started with research, stay organized with coursework, or simply need someone who understands what it’s like to be first‑gen and figuring things out. My goal is to help you feel confident using the tools, spaces, and supports that can make your Iowa experience a little easier.
When I’m not on campus, I enjoy spending time outdoors—hiking, camping, or kayaking when I can. I also like to cook, even if my meals sometimes turn out as “creative interpretations” of the recipe. Staying active, trying new things, and keeping a sense of humor help me stay balanced.
