I am excited to work with and support first-gen students in their journey at Iowa. I have been working in the college setting since 2016 and always value my interactions with all students but specifically first-gen students. In my time at Centre College, I supported the implementation of the Grissom Scholars Program, which was a full ride scholarship for first-gen students. In this work I served as a mentor for several students during their time at Centre College. From this experience I learned how great building community can be, to have a person you can learn from and grow with is a gift and I learned so much from the students I served as a mentor for.
