I serve as the Assistant Director and Success Coach with TRIO Student Support Services. TRIO programs are longstanding on this campus and help to support first-generation students, students from low-income backgrounds, and students who have a disability to be successful during their time at the University of Iowa. I get to meet one-on-one with students to help them in a variety of ways, teach some classes, and help develop staff within our program.

I’m here to connect with students who have questions about or want to work on goal setting, resumes and cover letters, applying to a graduate program, figuring out your future and how to navigate college in general, academic success, transfer student success, and anything social work related!

I am a Hawkeye with both my bachelor's degree and master’s degree from the University of Iowa and I’ve worked here for almost 10 years! I have two wonderful kiddos who keep me busy, but if I do have some free time, I love baking, reading, and watching Hawkeye sports with my family (mostly women’s basketball and football). I have also lived in the Iowa City area for most of my life and I’m happy to answer questions or make recommendations about all the amazing things Iowa City has to offer!
