Biography

My journey through post-secondary education is not atypical, with me being a first-generation college student and graduate. One thing that may be unique towards my experience, I relied on the stories told through broadcast media television shows to provide a map that would help navigating university campuses a bit clearer. I attribute a portion of my success on campuses to shows like "A Different World", along with the support a network of people that were able to lend a helping ear along with a word of guidance. I joined the staff at the University of Iowa in the Summer of 2019, after working for 5 years at Kansas State University. Prior to that, I completed my undergraduate and graduate work at the University of Texas at Arlington. My life's journey has taught me, I may not always know exactly where I am going, but I will definitely land somewhere I belong.
