Biography

I work at the intersection of machine learning, remote sensing, and ecology to tackle sustainability issues such as invasive species, tree disease, and harmful algal blooms. I graduated from a high school class size of 50 people in a town of 1500 people. So, starting college was quite a shock and a steep learning curve. My niece and nephews are first-generation college students, so I am passionate about helping others adjust to college life in order for them to thrive in this environment.
