I am a recent graduate of the University of Iowa (I got my degree in History and Anthropology) and now work at the Office of Admissions as an undergraduate admissions counselor. I mainly work with prospective students as they navigate the application process, but I also help educate them and their families on all the different programs of study and student resources we have here at the university. Outside of these larger-scale responsibilities, I also work closely with international applicants to help make sure that their transition over to school in the States goes as smoothly as possible. As for me personally, I'm an art lover, from visual to performing, and enjoy volunteering at our local animal shelter. In my free time, I watch a lot of movies (big fan of FilmScene in our downtown area!) and play video games. As a historian, my main area of expertise is imperial China and religious conflict, and I've also been working on learning Mandarin Chinese for a few years now.
