Biography

I am a first-generation student. My mother, who grew up on a farm outside Austin, Texas in the 1930s and had a 6th-grade education. My father, a high school graduate, chose a path in the US military. Despite their educational experiences, my mother actively supported my academic growth and encouraged me to pursue higher education. In 1991, I earned a BA from the University of North Texas. Her inspiration has fueled my own accomplishments, and I am eager to provide support for your academic aspirations as well.
