Megan Meyer
Assistant Director of Career Enhancement
Biography
Supporting first-gen students is vital to me as I identify with the shoes they are in. I grew up the child of a single parent and was first in my family to receive bachelors and masters degrees. My undergraduate experience at Iowa began confusing and overwhelming - I hope to help ease that transition for other first gen students. Today I work in Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center as their Assistant Director for Career Enhancement and Workforce Access and Advancement. In my role, I help to advance education and/or careers of future cancer researchers or clinicians while working to advance belonging.
