I am an associate research scientist in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. In addition to performing research, I mentor undergraduate and graduate students in the lab. I enjoy helping students develop the important skills of scientific writing and presentation of research results.

I am a great listener and love helping students work through a problem, even if they just need to talk something through. I was born and raised in Iowa, and I love Hawkeye sports, laughing at my cats, and enjoying my front porch when the weather allows!
