Biography

Greetings, fellow first-generation students! I grew up in the Chicago-area and attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, majoring in English and Communication. Since graduating, I have served in many roles in higher education at the University of Illinois, Colorado State University, and now at the University of Iowa! As an advisor and instructor, I have learned that playing an active role in the lives of students will help succeed while on campus and after graduation. I am inspired by the students at UIowa and am honored to work closely with first-generation and premedical students. My advice to current students is to be kind, genuine, and present. Seek out mentors, ask questions, get involved, and lead by example. This is your time to figure out what is important to you and to make a difference in the lives of those around you. I am happy to assist you on your journey!
