My academic travels have taken me through a small private college in South Dakota, the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, and all the way to Georgetown in Washington DC for emergency medicine residency. After training I remained on the faculty at Georgetown for eight years before returning home to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
