Rhonda Dietrich

Senior Billing and Loan Collections Specialist, University Billing and Loan Collections
Biography

Neither of my parents attended college. I attended Kirkwood Community College completing a 1-year accounting program. I then worked in a locally owned bank for 24 years before joining The University of Iowa in 2006. While in the banking field I began at an entry level position and was promoted to Assistant Vice President and Human Resources Officer. I have continued to seek additional education throughout my career through professional development opportunities. I have two children who graduated from The University of Iowa and Central College in Pella. Both had wonderful experiences and overcame challenges throughout their college years. I encouraged and supported their educational endeavors and recognize the value of a 4-year degree with the opportunities it provides. Helping students attain their goal of a 4-year degree and work through obstacles they may face is an experience I thrive on as every student situation is unique. In my current position I work with past due U-Bill accounts as well as current and past due institutional loans, Perkins loans and Health Profession loans. I have helped several students over the past 10 years to overcome financial issues and other obstacles to graduate from The University of Iowa and pursue their professional endeavors. I have developed a wide network of University contacts to help these students as well.
