As a first generation student myself many years ago, I struggled to navigate the college setting. Not having parental perspectives to assist during that time, I missed out on many opportunities. I wish I had a program like this to utilize during my college career. I made it through college successfully, but I worked harder at it than I needed to. I have been at Iowa for almost 20 years now and can assist and support students in in a variety of areas, with a special focus on student life concerns and support.
