Have you ever wondered what actually helps students succeed in college -- and what gets in the way? That's exactly what I dig into every day as the Assistant Director of Institutional Research and Assessment at the University of Iowa. I work with campus partners to help them ask the right questions about their programs, find the answers in the data, and then make sense of what those answers mean for the students they serve.

I graduated college with a degree in psychology and a minor in violin performance -- proof that you don't have to pick just one passion. That love of music didn't stop at graduation. I still perform today as a member of the Iowa City Community String Orchestra, and it continues to be a meaningful part of my life.

I'm also a competitive adult figure skater! Skating is something I loved as a kid, stepped away from, and eventually found my way back to -- and returning to it as an adult has been one of the most rewarding decisions I've made. It reminds me that it's never too late to reclaim something that brings you joy.

Outside of work, I volunteer as a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters, where I'm supporting a student who is working toward becoming the first in her family to attend college. That work is close to my heart -- and it's part of why I'm on this network. I want to be someone in your corner as you figure out what's next.
