I grew up in Iowa City, the child of a UI faculty member, and have worked for the Stanley Museum of Art for over ten years. While I come from a family of academics, I chose a different path after high school, working for a decade before earning my BA, then living/working another couple of decades before gaining an MA. There are as many education journeys as there are students, so I look forward to meeting and helping 1st Gen Hawkeyes during their journey at Iowa.
