Jenay Dougherty

Undergraduate Engagement Librarian, UI Libraries
Biography

I'm Jenay Dougherty and one of the many friendly librarians here on campus. You can visit me in the Main Library in my office on the 2nd floor or ask for me at the Just Ask Desk. I can help you with library related information, like finding credible sources, developing a research topic, or just chatting with you about your research interests. I'm also very good at getting you to the right place to get any of your questions answered. A little about my background: I am from Lincoln, Nebraska and I'm part Pacific Islander - my father is originally from Palau. I'm a former transfer student, first attending a community college in my hometown before transferring to the University of Nebraska, where I got my bachelor's in English. I then went on to earn a Master's in Library Science from Emporia State. I was inspired to become a librarian after working as an undergrad assistant for two librarians who also worked to support undergrads with their research and information needs.
