As a first-gen student myself, as well as a non-traditional student, it was challenging to begin college knowing that the cards were already stacked against me. I was very fortunate to have a supportive network around me which made all the difference in the world. Supporting first-gen students is important to me because I know the challenges they are facing, and I want to be a pillar of support for them. I want to be available to offer guidance, mentorship, and offer support on their road to success.
