I am an Associate Professor of Instruction and co-director of the Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Philanthropy. I teach courses that explore the nonprofit sector, fundraising, nonprofit communications, and the use of artificial intelligence for social impact. I also serve as faculty advisor for the Hawkeye Nonprofit Collective, a student organization that connects students with nonprofits through events, volunteering, networking, and hands-on experiences that build professional skills and support causes they care about.

I am a strong supporter and advocate for first-generation students and their success at Iowa. I’m always happy to have a conversation, whether you need guidance, encouragement, help navigating campus, or simply someone to listen.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my son, a fellow Hawkeye who is expected to graduate in 2029. I also love traveling, especially to the Colorado mountains, where I enjoy the outdoors and visit family. Closer to home, you’ll often find me attending local events with friends or trying one of the area’s locally owned restaurants.
