Maria G. Bruno
I serve as the Assistant Vice President for Student Life. In my role on campus, I lead and support mental health and well-being departments such as University Counseling Services (UCS), Women in Action Resource Center (WRAC) and Student Health (SH). I am also adjunct faculty and teach undergraduates in the 1st Gen Hawks program in the fall and graduate students in the Higher Education Students Affair (HESA) program in the spring.
As the first in my family to attend college, I had to figure things out by myself, and I did not ask questions because I did not know what to ask. Now, I serve as a mentor for many students, so they do not feel alone or lost. I know reaching out can be scary, I am here for you-please reach out and we can get a snack or a meal.
