As a Latina first generation college student, I relied on finding my community to get thru college. I graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology. I was motivated by my experience in the Summer Research Opportunity Program (SROP) McNair Scholars program and TRiO, to go on and receive a Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning at the UI. Throughout all my positions on campus, I have dedicated my time to support underrepresented students. I currently live in West Liberty, IA with my two daughters, Daniella and Evelyn and my husband Jose. Please feel free to reach out!
